Travelling to Bristol

By road – Bristol stands on one of the UK’s major motorway junctions, the crossroads of the M4 (London – South Wales) and M5 (South West – Birmingham and West Midlands).

By rail – Bristol has two main-line railway stations linking it directly with London and the rest of the UK. Minimum journey time from London (Paddington) to Bristol Temple Meads station is 1hr 20min. Train times and tickets can be found at National Rail Enquiries, Virgin Trains or First Great Western.

By airBristol International Airport is 8 miles / 30 minutes from the University and offers a comprehensive service within the UK and Europe.

There is a frequent coach service around the clock from Bristol Airport to the city centre: Airport Flyer, taking c. 40 minutes and costing £7 one-way or £11 return. There are drop-off and pick-up points around central Bristol: Flyer route map.

If you are flying to London Heathrow Airport, there is a coach service to Bristol Coach Station in central Bristol.
