Glen Broderick retired in 2013 from the Agricultural Research Service of USDA after 32 years. He received BS and MS degrees in Dairy Science, plus a joint PhD degree in Biochemistry and Dairy Science, all from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
After serving as assistant and associate professor of Animal Science at Texas A&M University, Glen returned to Madison in 1981 to work as Research Scientist at the U.S. Dairy Forage Research Center and professor of Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin. His research has mainly focused on protein and amino acid nutrition of the lactating dairy cow with emphasis on enhancing efficiency of utilization of feed nitrogen for milk production.
Glen’s international experience includes sabbaticals in Scotland and Sweden plus presentations and consultancies in both Europe and Latin America.
